THE LAKE:
Farm Lake is a 12-13 acre lake set in natural and idyllic surroundings set within a private and secure site: the lake itself is situated around 20 miles from the city of Beauvais. The lake is a very well established gravel pit. There is a large island towards one end of the lake and a network of gravel bars, plateau's and gullies spread around the lake making very interesting fishing. The bottom is relatively hard with clay and the odd silt patch or two between the gravel. All swims are comfortable and have been strategically placed to cover all angles, each swim having plenty of features to fish to. There are no poisson chat present and only the very odd crayfish so no nuisances to ruin your fishing. The lake will accommodate 6-8 anglers comfortably, with the maximum number allowed being 8 anglers at any one time.
Grass Carp are also present to over 40lb. An ongoing stocking program will continue over the next few years with selected fish being introduced annually. The objective of Farm Lake Fisheries is to produce a prolific water, which will be both productive in the number, quality and size of fish being caught. |
